The Edinburgh Innovation Hub (EIH) is currently under development, with its official launch targeted for summer 2025. A flagship initiative of East Lothian Council (ELC) in partnership with Queen Margaret University (QMU), the Hub aims to foster innovation and economic growth in key sectors.
Role of Innovation Hubs and Business Incubators
Innovation Hubs, are designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). These hubs offer specialized facilities and services that help start-ups and early-stage companies thrive. The concept of business incubation has evolved, now encompassing a wide range of services to accelerate business development.
The EIH will build on these principles to create a supportive environment for start-ups and SMEs, facilitating their path to commercial success.
