Award Success for Gilmerton House

Gilmerton House is celebrating a major achievement after being named Best Exclusive Use Venue at the 2026 Scottish Golf Tourism Awards. The announcement was made during a special awards ceremony held on 12 March at the National Museum of Scotland, bringing together leading figures from across Scotland’s golf, tourism and hospitality sectors.

This prestigious award recognises outstanding excellence in golf‑related hospitality and places Gilmerton House firmly among Scotland’s most distinguished venues. Selected from a highly competitive shortlist, the property was praised for its exceptional service, warm welcome, and strong connections to the local area.

The Scottish Golf Tourism Awards form the finale to Scottish Golf Tourism Week, an annual industry event that attracts international tour operators and celebrates organisations that contribute to Scotland’s reputation as the world’s leading golf destination. This year’s event saw more than 90 Scottish businesses and 94 international golf tour operators participate, underscoring the continued global interest in Scotland’s golf tourism sector.

Gilmerton House’s win highlights East Lothian’s continued strength as Scotland’s Golf Coast, with the region once again recognised for delivering exceptional visitor experiences. It also reinforces the valuable role that exclusive‑use venues play in supporting local tourism and showcasing the very best of Scottish hospitality.

As well as celebrating Gilmerton House’s success, we also congratulate The Leddie, Fenton Tower and Gullane Golf Club, all of whom were finalists in their respective categories.
